Community Update
April and May were busy in the OnPoint Community, starting with an exciting Third Thursday presentation featuring Mozarc Medical’s Marty Lorenzo (CLO) and Jonathan Ryu (Legal Operations Manager). They shared how their team is strengthening matter management and outside counsel engagement, even with limited resources. Read more takeaways from their conversation.
We also hosted our first OnPoint EMEA discussion “Are You Ready for E-Invoicing?," focused on Europe-specific e-billing challenges and upcoming UK, German, and EU mandates. Members compared how their organizations are preparing and shared practical steps you can take now to stay ahead.
In mid-May we attended CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) in Chicago, one of the few places where the legal ops community, customers, and innovators all come together in one room. From booth demos and speaking sessions to after-hours events, we left inspired from the conversations and connection.
At CLOC, we even took part in a special session, “Evolve or Get Left Behind: Designing the Future-Ready Legal Ops Team,” unpacking what it takes to build a future-ready legal ops team. Just as exciting, we filmed upcoming episodes for our podcast, OnPoint of View with Michael Farlekas (Onit), Nick Whitehouse (Onit), Kim Wolfe (State Street), Siddharth S. (Intel), and Aaron Van Nice (ADM) to discuss their experiences and observations from the evolving legal operations landscape.
Lastly, April marked Community Manager Ashley Strawn’s final month with the OnPoint Community. Ashley helped build OnPoint from the ground up, and we’ll miss her greatly. We’re grateful for her impact and wish her all the best in her next chapter.
