MEETING RECAP
AI Peer Group
It was great to see everyone at the peer group and talk through where we all are on our AI roadmaps. Here are some highlights:
Survey results
- 70% have a mandate to use AI
- 60% are in the early stages of deploying AI
- What this tell us: Even with strong executive mandates, most organizations are still early in their AI adoption journey.
AI industry update with Nick Whitehouse:
- New AI agents like Claude Cowork and OpenClaw are moving beyond chat toward multi-step autonomous tasks such as research and analysis.
- These tools show strong potential but are still early-stage, with limitations in usability, integrations, efficiency, and security.
From technology to tools with Jean:
The adoption valley is a trend where new technology initially decreases productivity until we redesign the way we work. This was also the case with PCs, the internet, and cell phones.
Factors that prolong the AI adoption valley include AI slop, poor adoption practices, and misuse, as well as explored solutions such as better user enablement and evolving talent strategies.
