Versioning with Existing Documents
We added a new document versioning function in Onit and wanted to let users know that
have documents in the system. If you uploaded a document (via the Document tab), you will no longer see the versions (v1, v2, v3) in the document title. Don’t panic. All of your copies are still in the system but they will not have a number associated with them.
You will be able to sort by date order so you can easily find your last uploaded document. If you want to add the version numbers back in, simply rename the file with the numbers or add a new label.
Documents that were emailed into the system or uploaded in the Project Plan have not been versioned. If documents have BOTH been emailed into Onit and have the same name as documents that where uploaded directly (via the Documents tab), the document will not be versioned.
Look for another company update this week that highlights these versioning features and other improvements.
